This tour gives an in-depth look at the outstanding contributions of Cape May’s African American community. First, take a new guided trolley tour that celebrates Cape May's Black history, highlighting the many varied contributions by African Americans from 1846 through the mid-20th century. Step off the trolley at the Washington Street mall and take about a 5-minute walk with your guide to the renowned Harriet Tubman Museum of New Jersey on Lafayette Street, which tells the story of this hero of the Underground Railroad.
